Wall Preparation
Prior to applying finishes, the key to a successful paint job is in the preparation,
Yes, the Quality of paint does matter, and yes, the person applying the paint matters, but preparation is the most important
aspect of any Quality paint job.
If you paint walls with little or no preparation, you will have new paint over ugly walls.
Little do you realize...
Some of your walls and ceilings may be brightly lit, while other areas may not have good lighting at all. Some walls and ceilings
are newer, with fewer blemishes, while others are older, and have more problems.
Some projects need minimal drywall repairs, while others can become a major project.
Chances are, when you look at your walls and ceilings, you dont really notice many defects, but when you have a professional
apply the paints properly, and you fall in love with your walls,
...the irregularities seem to jump out at you.
Drywall repairs are necessary to acquire a beautiful finish.
Other than using Quality paint, and having a professional apply it, drywall repairs is what makes a Quality paint job.

Finding & Repairing Drywall Irregularities
When was the last time you really looked at your walls?
There may be irregularities on your walls and ceilings that you (or we) can not see, and will only be seen after paint is
applied.
We can increase the odds of finding these blemishes, and irregularities, by using high intensity lighting.
This procedure is a level-up from being "specific"; it covers more repairs, and since it takes more time, it does cost more
money, ... and yet, it is still not 100% perfect.
Finding and repairing drywall irregularities is not included unless agreed upon from the beginning, and in writing.

Drywall Point Up
Drywall point up is the process of spackling of drywall irregularities after the first or even second coat of paint is applied.
Point up is not included unless agreed upon from the beginning, and in writing.

Water Damaged Drywall
Look at this great example of how water can create bacteria ridden mold spores for you to breathe. - This is not a good thing!
The above damage didn't happen over-night. Behind the wall, the pipes were leaking, and had been leaking for a long
time - and nobody cared to take notice of WHY the bathroom always smelled like it did, until the walls starting turning black.
Let's start with worst case scenerio-
First off -
Water damaged drywall should be taken VERY seriously.
Water damaged drywall can harbor mold and harmfull bacteria, and especially if it is exposed to water for a while.
Water damaged drywall can happen when your basement is flooded (for whatever reason), or you have a constant water leak that
ends up puddling on the drywall, or being absorbed into the drywall.
You might be able to salvage some of it, and remove the bad sections and replace, or you might have to remove it all and start
fresh.
When it comes to you and your family's health, replacing water damaged drywall is an easy choice.
We are water damaged drywall experts. We can assess your situation and advise you on our professional opinion. We can remove
damaged, clean and disinfect, and install new.

Simple Water Damage Drywall Repairs
Most often, water damage is unseen until the day you notice the brown streaks, or round marks on your ceiling.
Most of the time, these water marks are caused by your gutters not being cleaned out regularly (the gutters over fill and
water backs up into the house).
...Other times it's because a source of water, just above the "mark", has leaked (bathroom, kitchen, missing shingle, damaged
pipe etc..).
...or maybe a heavy thunderstorm with high winds blew water in, up under the eaves and gravity caused the running water to
follow the building structure.
If you see signs of water, find the cause right away and take care of it.

Mold is found everywhere that you can find water, dampness, or moisture. The spores of mold are how mold travels and reproduces.
Many molds are harmless, and even benificial; we use them in certain foods such as cheese, yogurts, and even medical use,
however, there are many other molds that can cause headaches, respiratory problems, sinus congestion, asthma, skin rashes,
brain damage, and even death. While mold can be found in a lot of wet, damp places, the spores from mold are found
[literally] everywhere. We breathe in mold spores all the time with other dust and pollen, from everywhere we go, but,
it's usually not enough to affect most humans and animals (although mold spores can become a serious health hazard when breathed
in large quantites).
When you have any type of water damage or water leak in your home, mold growth is a possibility, and once it's growing behind
your drywall with continuous moisture, you may be headed toward serious health problems.
Mold remediation is a procedure for removing mold and contaminants, with guidelines we follow to insure proper removal and
sanitation. We offer water damage restoration with no worries, and peace of mind that your mold problem is taken care of.
